Shoots are thin. Young growing branches have a beautiful pinkish hue.
The needles change color seasonally: light golden-yellow - in summer, brownish hue in winter, partly needle-like, partly scaly.
It has been known in culture since 1904. A proven winter-hardy variety.
Recommended for single and group plantings on rocky areas, for small gardens, as well as for growing in containers. A good solution for a hedge (2 pcs / running meter), tolerates pruning well.
