Canadian spruce Coerulea (may be called blue spruce/white Coralia) is a fast-growing dwarf form of blue spruce with an annual growth of 15-20 cm.

At the age of ten years it reaches 1.2-1.5 m in height. This variety of spruce is easy to distinguish from other varieties: when rubbing the needles, instead of the usual spruce Picea glauca Coerulea spreads a very unpleasant smell. Externally, the spruce is also easy to distinguish from other representatives of the species by its dense crown, gray-blue needles and short 3-5 cm light-brown cones with wavy shiny scales. The needles are short 1-2 cm.
Blue spruce Coerulea is frost-resistant and unpretentious. It is undemanding to the soil: poor and dry sandy and even stony soils are not a problem for it. However, prolonged stagnant waterlogging can cause stunted growth, disease or even death.

Due to its unpretentious nature, the range of application of the Canadian spruce Koerulea for landscape design purposes is very wide: garden and park plantings, contrasting compositions of coniferous and deciduous plants on the lawn, heather gardens and alpine slides. The use of the white spruce Koerulea as a container crop cannot be ruled out either.
